Online anxiety coaching in English, wherever you live in Europe.

Rose Markotic is an anxiety skills coach working online, in English, from Croatia. She works with expats, internationals and English-speaking locals across Europe and the UK: people who are functioning, but stretched by anxiety, overthinking or a move that turned out harder than it looked.

The method is CBT-based: practical cognitive-behavioural skills, in the structured TEAM-CBT form Rose practised for years in Dr. David Burns’ group at Stanford. It’s coaching, not psychotherapy.

In short

Yes, there is an English-speaking anxiety coach who works online across Europe. Rose Markotic teaches CBT-based anxiety skills by video, in English, to clients in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond. It’s structured skills coaching with practice between sessions, not psychotherapy, and the first call is free.

Where clients are

One coach, wherever the move took you.

Because the work is online, where you live mostly decides the time zone, not whether this fits. And if you move again, you keep the same coach.

What people bring

Common reasons people look for anxiety coaching.

  • Anxiety that arrived with the move, or once the first-year excitement wore off.
  • Overthinking and worry loops that eat evenings and wreck sleep.
  • High-functioning anxiety at work: outwardly fine, inwardly running on alarm.
  • Big transitions: a relocation, a career change, the stay-or-go question, midlife.
  • Low mood and isolation in a place where nobody knew you before.

The method

Built on CBT.

CBT — the cognitive-behavioural approach — is one of the most studied ways of working with anxiety and low mood. Rose’s coaching is built on it: specifically TEAM-CBT, the structured, measurement-driven form she practised for years in Dr. David Burns’ group at Stanford.

  • Catching the thoughts that drive the anxiety — and testing them, not just talking about them
  • Step-by-step practice facing what you've been avoiding, at a pace you set
  • Skills you rehearse between sessions, so the change happens in your week
  • Your mood measured at every session, so you can see whether it's working

What TEAM-CBT is →

To be precise: this is coaching that teaches CBT skills. It isn’t psychotherapy and involves no diagnosis. If you need CBT as clinical care, Rose will tell you so and help you find it.

Who you’d be working with

Trained for this.

Rose’s path here runs through more than a decade of clinical training and practice — graduate training at Santa Clara University and years inside Dr. David Burns’ TEAM-CBT group at Stanford, the home of the measurement-driven framework.

Coach, or something else?

Which kind of help you actually need.

Skills coaching suits people who are functioning but stretched: you want practical tools, a plan, and someone to practise them with. You leave each session with something concrete to do that week.

If what you’re facing needs diagnosis, medication or clinical care, that’s work for a licensed professional where you live, and coaching is not a substitute for it. Rose will tell you plainly on the free call if that’s the better fit, and help you find the right kind of help. Plenty of people do both. The same applies in every country, including Austria and Belgium: this is coaching only, not psychotherapy, psychological counselling or clinical psychology, and Rose is not registered as a psychologist or psychotherapist anywhere in Europe.

Practical

How it works from anywhere in Europe.

  • —Online, in English. Secure video. Comfortable conversational English is enough; it doesn’t have to be your first language.
  • —Structured. A 90-minute intake, then 50-minute sessions: a check-in on what you practised, one or two skills, and a plan for the week.
  • —Measured. Your mood is checked at every session, so you can see whether it’s working.
  • —Prices in euros, posted up front. €180–€220 per 50-min session in a package, or €250 for a single session. The 90-minute intake on its own is €396, credited toward a package if you continue.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is there an English-speaking anxiety coach who works online across Europe?
Yes. Rose Markotic works online, in English, from Croatia, with clients across Europe and the UK: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France and the Nordics. The work is CBT-based anxiety skills coaching, not psychotherapy, and the first 20-minute call is free.
Can a coach help with anxiety, or do I need a therapist?
A coach can help if you're functioning but stretched and want practical skills: worry, overthinking, after-move anxiety, sleep that won't settle, a big transition. If you need diagnosis, medication or clinical care, see a licensed professional where you live. Coaching is not a substitute for that. The free Discovery Call exists to sort out which one fits you, honestly.
What should I look for in an anxiety coach?
Look for real training in an evidence-based method, a clear statement of what coaching does and doesn't cover, confidentiality, a free first call, and someone you feel comfortable with. Rose's background is more than a decade of clinical training and practice, graduate training at Santa Clara University and years in Dr. David Burns' TEAM-CBT group at Stanford. Her coaching teaches CBT skills and is not psychotherapy.
Do you work with clients in the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland or the UK?
Yes. Sessions are online, so where you live mainly sets the time zone. Rose is on Central European Time: the UK, Ireland and Portugal are one hour behind, and the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy and the Nordics match it. You don't need to speak the local language; sessions are in English.
Do I need to have moved abroad?
No. The work fits expats and English-speaking locals alike, including people who'd simply rather do this work in English, or who want a structured CBT-based approach that's hard to find where they live.
What does it cost?
Prices are in euros and posted up front: €180–€220 per 50-min session in a package, or €250 for a single session with no commitment. The 90-minute intake on its own is €396, credited in full toward a package if you continue within 30 days. The Discovery Call is free.
