Anxiety coaching for people in Ireland, online.

Practical, CBT-based anxiety coaching by video for people in Dublin, Cork, Galway and anywhere in Ireland. It suits you if you’re functioning but stretched: worry that won’t switch off, overthinking, or high-functioning anxiety at work.

Whether you grew up here or moved here for work, sessions are in English, with skills you practise between sessions. It’s coaching, not psychotherapy.

In short

Yes, there is an English-speaking anxiety coach who works online with people in Ireland. Rose Markotic teaches CBT-based anxiety skills by video to clients in Dublin, Cork, Galway and elsewhere. It’s structured coaching for people who are coping but stretched, not psychotherapy, and the first 20-minute call is free.

Across Ireland

The same pressures, in different places.

Where you are shapes the shape of the stress: the job, the commute, the rent, the distance from family.

Dublin's Docklands & the city

Home to many of the big tech and finance EMEA offices, and to a lot of people who moved here for one of those jobs. The pattern: a strong CV, a demanding role, and anxiety that shows up as never quite switching off.

The suburbs & the commuter belt

Rathmines to Bray, Swords to Maynooth. Often family-stage, often a long commute, and the pressure of a housing market that makes every decision feel high-stakes.

Cork, Galway & beyond

Smaller cities, closer communities, and fewer English-language options for structured skills work than you might expect. Online means the same coach wherever you are on the island.

Common patterns

Three patterns common in Ireland.

  • 1. High performer, constant alarm.Delivering at a demanding job while the mind rehearses every meeting and replays every email. The work is lowering the alarm without lowering the standard.
  • 2. Housing stress that colours everything. The search, the rent, the sense that one wrong move costs years. Coaching doesn’t fix the market, but the catastrophising and the 2 a.m. spirals around it are very workable.
  • 3. Far from home, or stuck close to it.Newcomers missing the people who knew them before; returners and locals feeling the pull of leaving. Both are transition anxiety, and both respond to the same skills.

Coach, or something else?

Which kind of help you actually need.

Skills coaching is for people who are functioning but stretched and want practical tools and a plan. If your anxiety is severe, getting worse, or tied up with low mood you can’t shift, your GP is the usual first step into clinical care in Ireland. Coaching is not a substitute for that, and Rose will say so on the free call if it’s what you need. Rose is not registered with CORU and does not practise as a psychologist, counsellor or psychotherapist in Ireland.

Rose’s path here runs through more than a decade of clinical training and practice — graduate training at Santa Clara University and years inside Dr. David Burns’ TEAM-CBT group at Stanford, the home of the measurement-driven framework.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is there an English-speaking anxiety coach in Dublin?
Yes. Rose Markotic works online with clients in Dublin and across Ireland, teaching CBT-based anxiety skills by video in the structured TEAM-CBT form she practised for years in Dr. David Burns' group at Stanford. It's coaching, not psychotherapy, and the first 20-minute call is free.
Can a coach help with anxiety, or should I see my GP?
A coach can help if you're coping day to day but want practical skills for worry, overthinking or stress. If your anxiety is severe, getting worse, or you think you may need medication or clinical care, see your GP first. Coaching is not a substitute for clinical care, and many people use both.
Do you meet in person in Ireland?
No. Sessions are online by secure video. Rose is based in Croatia, one hour ahead of Irish time, so morning and early-evening slots both work.
What does it cost?
Prices are in euros and posted up front: €180–€220 per 50-min session in a package, or €250 for a single session with no commitment. The 90-minute intake on its own is €396, credited in full toward a package if you continue within 30 days. The Discovery Call is free.
