Anxiety coach · UK · online
Anxiety coaching for people in the UK, online.
Practical, CBT-based anxiety coaching by video, for people across the UK who are functioning but stretched: worry that won’t switch off, overthinking, high-functioning anxiety at work, or a big life change that knocked you sideways.
Rose Markotic works online from Croatia, one hour ahead of UK time. You learn specific skills, practise them between sessions, and measure whether they’re working. It’s coaching, not psychotherapy.
In short
Yes, a coach can help with anxiety if you’re coping day to day but want practical tools. Rose Markotic is an online anxiety coach for people in the UK: CBT-based skills for worry, overthinking and stress, taught by video in structured 50-minute sessions with practice in between. It isn’t psychotherapy, and the first 20-minute call is free.
What people bring
Common reasons people look for an anxiety coach.
- Overthinking that replays the day and rehearses tomorrow.
- High-functioning anxiety: delivering at work, running on alarm underneath.
- Worry about health, money or the people you love that doesn’t settle with reassurance.
- Perimenopause and midlife, when anxiety shows up in a way it never used to.
- A move, abroad or back home, that turned out harder than it looked.

The method
Built on CBT.
CBT — the cognitive-behavioural approach — is one of the most studied ways of working with anxiety and low mood. Rose’s coaching is built on it: specifically TEAM-CBT, the structured, measurement-driven form she practised for years in Dr. David Burns’ group at Stanford.
- Catching the thoughts that drive the anxiety — and testing them, not just talking about them
- Step-by-step practice facing what you've been avoiding, at a pace you set
- Skills you rehearse between sessions, so the change happens in your week
- Your mood measured at every session, so you can see whether it's working
To be precise: this is coaching that teaches CBT skills. It isn’t psychotherapy and involves no diagnosis. If you need CBT as clinical care, Rose will tell you so and help you find it.
Choosing a coach
What to look for in an anxiety coach.
Coaching isn’t a regulated profession in the UK, so it’s worth checking a few things before you choose. Here is how this practice measures up.
Training in a proven method. Rose’s path here runs through more than a decade of clinical training and practice — graduate training at Santa Clara University and years inside Dr. David Burns’ TEAM-CBT group at Stanford, the home of the measurement-driven framework.
Coaching accreditation. Rose doesn’t hold a coaching-body credential such as ICF, EMCC or the Association for Coaching. Her training is the deeper, clinical route described above, which is why the coaching is built on CBT rather than on a general coaching model.
A clear line on scope. No diagnosis, no medication advice, and no substitute for clinical care. If what you need is NHS Talking Therapies or your GP, Rose will tell you on the first call.
Confidentiality and a free first call. What you discuss stays private, and the 20-minute Discovery Call costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Coach, or something else?
When the NHS route is the right one.
If your anxiety is severe, getting worse, or tangled with low mood you can’t shift, start with your GP or refer yourself to NHS Talking Therapies. Coaching is not a substitute for clinical care. Many people use both: clinical support for what needs it, coaching for practical skills and momentum. Rose is not registered with the HCPC and does not practise as a psychologist, counsellor or therapist in the UK.

Frequently asked

She doesn't hold an ICF, EMCC or AC coaching credential.
