Rose Markotic · Anxiety Skills Coach
Rose’s path here runs through more than a decade of clinical training and practice — graduate training at Santa Clara University and years inside Dr. David Burns’ TEAM-CBT group at Stanford, the home of the measurement-driven framework.
What drives the price of anxiety coaching
Coaching isn’t price-regulated, so fees range from very low to several hundred euros a session. The main drivers are the coach’s training (a weekend certificate and years of clinical training are not the same thing), how specialised the work is, session length, whether there’s structure and measurement between sessions, and whether you buy single sessions or a package. A package price is usually lower per session because it’s a commitment to a plan, not a one-off.
Compare like with like: what you get for the total, how long the sessions are, what happens between them, and what happens if it’s not working.

Is an anxiety coach worth it?
It's likely worth it if you're functioning but stuck, you want practical skills rather than open-ended talking, and you can give a few minutes a day to practice between sessions.
It's probably not the right spend if you need diagnosis, medication or clinical care (see a licensed professional), you mainly want space to talk without homework, or you can't make regular sessions for the next couple of months.
One practical test: in TEAM-CBT-based coaching your mood is measured at every session (the Mood check-in), so within a few sessions you can see in numbers whether it’s helping, rather than paying on hope. If it isn’t moving, the approach changes or you get an honest referral elsewhere. See the TEAM-CBT toolkit.
Is anxiety coaching covered by insurance?
Usually not. Coaching is not a medical service, so there’s no diagnosis to bill and health insurers generally don’t reimburse it. If you need care your insurance or national health service covers, start with your GP. Some employers fund coaching as professional development; it’s worth asking.
When to see a licensed professional instead
If anxiety is severe, getting worse, comes with panic, low mood you can’t shift or thoughts of harming yourself, a licensed professional is the right first step, and in many countries that care is partly or fully covered. Coaching is not a substitute for clinical care. In a crisis, see the crisis resources page.
Frequently asked
Common questions
- How much does an anxiety coach cost?
- It varies widely with training, specialism and what's included. With Rose Markotic, packages are €1,056 (4 sessions), €1,760 (8) and €2,664 (14), each including a 90-minute intake, and a single session is €250. That works out at €180–€220 per 50-min session in a package. The first 20-minute call is free.
- Is an anxiety coach worth the money?
- It's most likely to be worth it if you're functioning but stuck, want practical skills, and can practise a few minutes a day between sessions. It's not the right spend if you need clinical care, mainly want to talk without homework, or can't commit to regular sessions. Session-by-session measurement lets you see early whether it's helping.
- Why are coaching packages cheaper per session?
- A package is a commitment to a plan over several weeks or months, which is how skills actually get built, so it's priced lower per session than a one-off. With Rose, the per-session price falls from Reset to Transform, and a single session on its own costs more.
- Does insurance cover anxiety coaching?
- Usually not, because coaching isn't a medical service and there's no diagnosis to bill. Some employers fund coaching as professional development. If you need care your insurance covers, start with your GP.
